Maliki notes

Gold and silver complete each other: their values are added to reach the nisab (Malikis and Hanafis).
A regular trader (mudir) values stock every year at market price; someone who buys to resell occasionally (muhtakir) pays only on sale, for a single year.
Jewellery a woman wears lawfully is not subject to zakat; hoarded jewellery is.
Crops and livestock have their own rules and thresholds; they are not covered here.
